Introduction
This research plan aims to investigate the effects of exercise on mental health in college students. The project will be conducted in the spring of 2023, and it will be divided into four sections.
First, we will conduct a literature review to identify previous studies on the relationship between exercise and mental health in college students. We will search for relevant articles, books, and databases, focusing on studies that have a strong sample size and high quality.
Second, we will collect data through a online survey platform. The survey will include questions related to physical activity, stress levels, and mental health. We will ask participants to provide their level of physical activity, their stress levels, and their current mental health status.
Third, we will analyze the data using statistical software to identify any significant correlations between physical activity and mental health. We will look for correlations between different levels of physical activity and mental health indicators, such as stress levels, depressive symptoms, and anxiety symptoms.
Finally, we will interpret the findings and make recommendations for improving mental health in college students through regular exercise. Our findings will be disseminated through academic journals and conferences to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on this topic.
Methods
The research plan will be conducted using a mixed-methods approach, including both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.

Expected Results
Our research plan aims to investigate the relationship between physical activity and mental health in college students. We expect to find a significant positive correlation between physical activity and mental health, as well as significant correlations between different levels of physical activity and mental health indicators.
We also expect to identify subgroups of college students who are at a higher risk for poor mental health due to their physical activity levels. These subgroups may include students who are not physically active, students who engage in low-level physical activity, and students who engage in high-level physical activity.
Conclusion
In conclusion, our research plan aims to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the relationship between physical activity and mental health in college students. Through a mixed-methods approach, we will investigate the effects of exercise on mental health and identify subgroups of college students who may be at a higher risk for poor mental health. Our findings will be disseminated through academic journals and conferences to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on this topic.
